What to expect here

The certified examiners here include nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Any of them can perform the exam and issue your medical certificate. FMCSA does not require a physician.

  • Photo ID and your CDL, or your permit if you do not have the license yet.
  • A list of every medication you take, with doses and the prescribing doctor.
  • Glasses, contacts or hearing aids if you use them. Bring them, do not just mention them.
  • If you have sleep apnea, your CPAP compliance report. If you are diabetic, your recent A1C and a blood-sugar log.
